Live a life that demands an explanation!

The quote "Live a life that demands an explanation" was not from my own thoughts or words. I heard it during a sermon at church and it totally challenged me to actually live life that made people question me why I live the way I do. Now Im not saying that I am living this insane life where people are like why is she so weird. Well some may think I am odd for following the God, but thats ok. Nor will i ever be perfect at living my life to the exactly how God wants me to live. I can try my hardest to live out His will for my life, but many times I fail to do so. As I pray each day to do His will some days I forget and thats a huge struggle for me is forgetfulness, but in that I learn something new everyday. God has taught me to rely on Him so much more than before once I asked him to break me heart for what breaks His.
People find out different things about me and are shocked sometimes, once I was asked "why is it you put so many standards on your dating?" My answer well I have learned so much from the past and I know that its God's will that I don't just date around how the world thinks I should. There are many aspects to life that I put standards on for myself, but in this day and age dating seems to be such a huge thing for my generation and if there was one thing I could tell each person about dating its this, Do it God's way, NOT the world's way.
Another thing God seems to have challenged me with is to actually get in His word and not just read it and say oh that was a great story. If I just simply sat down and read a story and got nothing from it, what good is that? Rather than if I sat down and read the story and applied it to here and now, wow what a difference! So I challenge you, Live your life so that others are demanding to know why you live the way you do!

frustration

Ever feel frustrated with life?? I know thats kinda like a duh question, but really think about it. How frustrated with life are you?? Is it even life you are frustrated with or the situations that come your way? Sometimes it seems as if we make up so many excuses in life that we dont actually deal with the problem. We want the issue to go away yet it remains because we make up excuse after excuse as to why we can't just deal with it. What if we actually sat down and said ok, today im going to get this situation in control? What would happen? maybe you really don't know how to deal with the issue or you just don't feel like you have enought strength to, let me tell you something there will never be a point in your life where you are given something you cannot handle! maybe not on your own you cannot handle it, but when you reach out for help it can be fixed or resolved in a timely matter. We all need to learn to be patient with understanding of one anothers challenges until then how do we deal with our own? Learn to ask yourself and others the hard questions. What is REALLY going on?

Your mood when you wake up!

When you wake up in the morning, what is your first thought? For some it may be, "Do I really have to get out of bed?" for others "What a beautiful day!" What most people don't realize is their attitude when they wake up affects how they go throughout their day. Its not some scientific fact I looked up or anything, I have just noticed that if I wake up and am grumpy then the rest of my day I feel groggy and not very motivated. Days when I wake up and feel fresh and alert are usually days I get to sleep in, but on those days I am much happier. Even the night before can affect how you wake up. As in the Bible it states to not let the sun go down on your anger, there is a reason for that. If you let the sun go down on your anger you go to sleep angry and upset at a certain situation making your next day hard and not as positive as it could be! So I challenge you to go to bed with a smile on your face knowing that the next day is a brand new day full of surprises and you never know what joy the next day could bring!!
